Cruise Information & FAQ

  • What’s Included?

Listed prices are per guest per meal and per dessert. The price covers your full cruise time, a 20% service fee, and all applicable sales tax. Bottled water is provided for every guest. Guests are welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.

Our delicious menu is served buffet-style, but it is not an “all-you-can-eat” experience. While we offer generous portions, every cruise departs with carefully pre-portioned servings per person to ensure consistent quality and freshness. For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, no outside food or snacks are permitted on board. We also provide several gluten-free menu options on our private cruises.

  • What Should We Expect?

Boarding begins 15 minutes prior to departure. We depart promptly at the scheduled time, so please plan ahead to allow plenty of time for parking and check-in at our office. Departure times will not be delayed, and the boat does not return to port until the end of the cruise.

We recommend dressing for the current weather conditions. Casual attire is generally the most comfortable choice for enjoying your time on the water. Our cruises depart from our home base at Lake Vermilion Houseboats. Onsite parking is available, and we encourage carpooling whenever possible to help minimize congestion.

After purchasing your cruise, you will receive an email receipt with full details. Please complete the electronic form, including the names of all passengers, so they can be added to our cruise manifest. Upon boarding, our crew will check you in using the passenger list from your waiver form. Once aboard, feel free to roam the boat and choose your favorite viewing spot.

Please Note: Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited anywhere on the boat, including the outdoor decks.

  • Are the Boats Handicap Accessible?

Unfortunately, none of the boats in our fleet are considered “handicap accessible” as defined by state or federal law. Due to variable water levels and the dual-deck design of each vessel, all guests must navigate a few steps when boarding and moving about the boats.

We’re happy to discuss your specific accessibility needs—please feel free to give us a call. We also ask that you please inform us of any mobility concerns or specific requirements at the time of reservation so our crew can be prepared to assist you.

  • Are Children Allowed?

Our cruises are designed for guests ages 16 and above. We also ask that you please leave your fur babies at home, as pets are not allowed on board.

  • What is the Cancellation Policy?

Full payment is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable. Changes to reservations can be made for a 10% fee if requested at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled cruise. No changes can be made within 72 hours of departure.

Please arrive on time. Our boats depart promptly at the scheduled time. Missed cruises are considered no-shows, and reservations will be forfeited with no refund or rescheduling options available.

Our cruises operate rain or shine. In severe weather, the houseboat may remain docked for a portion of the cruise to allow conditions to improve. No refunds will be issued for weather-related conditions.
