Newly built in 2021 (final touches completed in 2022), Maki #16 is part of our premium Maki Series — designed for guests who want first-class amenities and a comfortable, well-appointed home base on Lake Vermilion.
This series is named in honor of Oiva Maki, who founded Lake Vermilion Houseboats and personally built the first houseboats on the lake at our current location. Current owners Kyle and Joy Colbert carry that same vision forward, revitalizing and expanding the fleet so future generations of families and friends can continue to enjoy the unique experience of houseboating on Lake Vermilion.
Maki #16 comes standard with a generator, microwave, drip coffee maker, charcoal grill, smart TV, Humminbird GPS, and a full set of cookware and dishware. A hot tub is not included as standard but can be added to your reservation.

Check-In Notes
Check-in is available on Mondays and Fridays only. Weekly stays may also check in on Saturdays.

- Nightly: $1300 + taxes / fees (3 night minimum required)
- Weekly: $6500 + taxes / fees
- Weekend (Friday - Monday): $3900 + taxes / fees
- Midweek Discount (Monday - Friday): $4550 + taxes / fees (If booking online, the discount will be applied after you book.)
- Deposit: 50% of Invoice
